It’s c-c-cold, where i-is Naruto-kun? Where a-am i?
The thoughts of Hinata made her worry more then she already was, she didn’t know where she was, and she didn’t see anyone. All she could see was the colour white everywhere. Just then, she opened her eyes…for the last time…
“Hinata!!!!!!!!!!” Naruto shouted
“Hinata! Answer me!” Tenten shouted in fear
“Hinata-sama, please wake up!” Neji said with concern in his voice
Hinata wanted to talk, but she couldn’t. She had a smile on her pale and wounded face.
I can’t h-h-hold on…I’m j-just t-t-too weak…like always…
--Flashback--
There were shouting from 1 part of Konoha. From Tsunade’s office to be more exact.
“Why must I go on such a crappy mission like this?!” Naruto complained as always
“Because I say so!” Tsunade shouted angrily at Naruto
Naruto-kun i-is on the s-same mission as m-m-me. I’m delighted.
“Huh?! Fine! Hmph!” Naruto gave in
“Finally, sigh, ok, so for this mission, the four of you will going.” Tsunade told them tiredly “Hyuuga Neji, Hyuuga Hinata, Uzumaki Naruto and Aburame Shino and Tenten. Sigh, can’t I have a day off?” she complained (A/n: My sis who writes NejiTen wanted me to put in Tenten so yeah)
“Eh?! I’m with Shino again?!” Naruto whined
“YES!”
“I’d better not do things my way again. If not he’d say ‘I’m the team leader, so you must blah blah blah.’ Again.” Naruto warned himself
Shino and Neji stared at Naruto thinking he was talking to himself which he did. Except for Hinata, she was too caught up thinking about Naruto and her.
“Hn” Neji replied
“Neji! You’ll be the team leader.” Tsunade told him knowing that if Naruto was the team leader, he’d get everyone killed
“Hn”
“Well at least it’s better then Shino.” Naruto muttered
“Ok then, you’ll set off in 15 minutes.” Tsunade stood up walking towards Naruto
“You’d better not mess up again, like last time.” Tsunade whispered to Naruto(A/n: remember the buggy mission? Yeah he messed up big time. Oh yeah, the mission is to find a missing scroll)
“I will not!” Naruto shouted
--At the gate of Konoha--
“Naruto-kun, you’re l-late…” Hinata pointed out
“Yeah well sorry, I was packing up some cup noodles so that I can…”
“Hn” Neji interrupted
“Sigh…” Tenten sighed
“Let’s go” Shino said while walking
“You’re not the team leader so why must we follow you?!” Naruto shouted running towards him
“You’re also not the team leader, and I am better behaved.” Shino pointed out
“Damn it” Naruto replied
By time they noticed, they were way behind Neji, Tenten and Hinata.
--At night--
“I’m g-going to sleep.” Hinata went into the tent
“Wait for me Hinata” Tenten told her
“Ok!” Naruto was slurping down his cup noodles
“Hn” Neji came back from his stroll
“Me too” Shino went in while yawning
“Huh…?Why is everyone so sleepy?! I’m still awake.” Naruto asked
There was no reply. So Naruto finished up his noodles and went to sleep.
--In the morning--
“Good m-morning N-Neji-niisan” Hinata greeted Neji
“…” Neji ignored her
“Good Morning everybody! And man…Neji should really start talking to other people other than me.” Tenten said while sipping her tea that she made for all of them
Hinata sighed, then there were loud noises from the tent.
“GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!” Naruto shouted even though he was still sleepy, which was weird
“Can you please keep your noise down, it could be heard from 5 miles away” Shino told him sarcastically
“Grrrr!!!!!!!!!” Naruto raged with anger
“Good morning N-Naruto-k-k-kun…” Hinata mumbled
“What’s for breakfast?” Naruto asked Tenten without hearing Hinata
“Naruto-kun…” Hinata was upset
“Well we have rice balls.” Tenten answered him
Naruto took 4 rice balls and started gobbling them down.
Naruto-kun didn’t e-even notice t-t-that I made t-those rice balls s-s-specially to his
l-liking…sigh
“It was so yummy! Did you make it Tenten?” Naruto asked while walking with the rest of them
“No, Hinata did.” Tenten replied
“Hinata…?” Naruto looked at her
Hinata was blushing. Neji was staring at Naruto, he remembered that Hiashi asked him to take care of Hinata while on the mission. Neji then looked at Tenten
--Neji’s thoughts--
Tenten’s so adorable…
What are you saying?!
What the…who are you
Boo! I’m your bad side duh.
Whatever
And Tenten’s NOT adorable. GET IT?!
Stay away from me before I strangle you
Fine.
--Normal P.O.V--
“Naruto, Shino. Why are you two always fighting?” Tenten asked
“Because he thinks that he’s the leader!” Naruto shouted
“I do not, it’s because you’re not behaved.” Shino talked back
“Ok ok I get it.” Tenten mumbled
“Neji-niisan, we s-should be reaching s-soon, maybe at n-night w-we’ll reach.” Hinata told Neji
“Hn”
--At night--
It was then when it happened. Another village sent 3 chuunins to get the same scroll. Tenten and Shino were injured badly. Hinata’s was the worst, but Naruto and Neji was the least since they were the most formidable in the team.
--End of flashback--
Hinata gave a smile before she closed her eyes and went into an eternal slumber…
There was silence in the air…they cried for awhile, the mission had to be completed. They went back to Konoha where Hiashi held a grand funeral for Hinata.
“It’s my fault…” Naruto blamed himself
“No, it’s not Naruto. It’s an accident.” Sakura tried to make him feel better
“I can’t help blaming myself…” Naruto mumbled, tears rolled down his cheeks
Naruto would go to her gravestone often…where he regretted not telling her that he secretly loved her…
(the little speech)
